Dave and Jake did a great job, we were kept informed of their arrivals and the progress of the work which was carried out very efficiently and they were pleasant at all times.
Very friendly, professional and tidy. Fantastic job, has greatly improved the look of my house.
Very happy. I have had them before and would highly recommend them.
The windows look great and I love the door. The service was great we barely noticed the guys were there and suddenly it was all done!!! Will definitely use again if needs be.
We don’t want customers to face hidden charges, so the price we quote is the final sum, including all fitting costs, plus VAT charged at 20%.
One thing that isn’t included is replacing the internal window board – also called the sill or ledge. But we can quote for this separately, and, as with all our quotes, there is no charge or obligation.
Once work is completed and you’re happy, we’ll send an invoice, requesting that this be settled within 14 days.
We don’t ask for a deposit – we prefer to do a job the customer is happy with first.
If you’d rather have one window fitted at a time, or just the front ones, in the first instance, you can get the rest of the work done later. We won’t charge more for doing things this way – and quotes remain valid for six months.
We’re happy to let prospective customers see examples of our previous work. We can show you photographs of projects similar to what you’re considering. We can also supply a list of work that we’ve done near you, so you can look at photos or perhaps even go and see the quality of the work for yourself.
Finally, we ask customers to advise us of any changes they want to make to their orders up to three weeks before we’re due to start work.
All our installation work comes with an industry-standard decade-long guarantee.
Additionally, we offer an insurance-backed warranty, for which there’s a small fee. (This gives you additional peace of mind by giving you extra protection in the unlikely event of our ceasing to trade.)
All our door and window projects are also registered with FENSA, which issues certification once the job is done.
FENSA, or the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme, ensures building regulations compliance without the need for a local authority inspection. Windows replaced since April 2002 must by law have a FENSA certificate (or building regs one) to show compliance.
Our windows come with high-quality multi-point locking systems, and handles are lockable with a key.
What’s more, because we use top-notch materials such as the best quality uPVC, our window products are tough and hardwearing, allowing the best locking mechanisms to be fitted. Our products meet BS7950 and PAS 23/24 security standards and Secured by Design certification.
We supply a key for each opening window, and three for every door we fit, and charge separately for additional keys.
If we’re fitting new windows in a bedroom, these come with at least one fire safety hinge as standard. We also comply with the law stating that all windows must have an unobstructed openable area of at least 0.33mm², and must be at least 450mm high and/or wide.
All our windows are internally glazed, or glazed from the inside. This ‘internal beading’ means the beading itself is found inside the frame, so that it faces inwards. (This keeps the glass in place, and is typically a plastic, wood or aluminium strip at the edge of the glass, which snaps securely into the recess.)
Security is enhanced, since it means the glass can’t be removed from the outside.
All our products also come fitted with a night ventilation facility. This leaves a small gap of around an inch, allowing air to circulate on a sweltering summer’s night or if it’s raining lightly, without compromising security. (Just don’t go out all day and leave them like this).
We minimise disruption and clear up after ourselves. Our fitters will lay dust sheets over the area immediately around your windows, and remind you to remove any ornaments from the area we’re working on.
Our workmen thoroughly clear away any rubbish or waste products, including your old windows and frames, timber and anything else - you won’t know we’ve been there!
Once you’re happy to proceed, let us know. We’ll acknowledge your order, and agree an installation date.
Then just sit back and look forward to enjoying beautiful new doors or windows!
